Initially, Welsh terriers were bred for hunting rabbits, foxes and badgers, but public opinion and the decline in the lust for blood in general have gone against blood sports and so this native breed of Wales has become a show dog and a pet. Breeders attempt to outdo each other by breeding the Welsh terrier to have a denser wiry coat and deeper colouration. The Welsh terrier is also a popular pet because it is one of the most easy-going terriers.
The Welsh terrier is a fun loving dog. It just loves to run, chase and play, which makes it a smashing companion and a perfect pet. Welsh terriers require lots of exercise, so be prepared for plenty of walking, if you make your mind up to get one.
It is a good idea to ’socialize’ your dog as soon as you can. This means that you should introduce your Welsh terrier puppy to children and other dogs at an early age. The more you encourage your dog to participate with other dogs as a puppy, the less difficulty you will have with your dog fighting or barking at other dogs and cats. It’s the same story with children. Children can play very roughly, and a dog could be forgiven for biting back, but it can be avoided by introducing your Welsh terrier puppy to children while it is still young. The child might learn respect, but the dog will learn tolerance.
The Welsh terrier is easily trained, if you like your dog to do tricks. it is an intelligent breed and, being former hunters, they are good at learning commands and tricks. Train your Welsh terrier with kindheartedness and reiteration. They like to retrieve sticks and play with a ball. Many people train their Welsh terriers to catch a flying Frisbee too.
A Welsh terrier will groom himself quite scrupulously, but you can help out by brushing him once a week in order to eradicate the dead and loose hair. This will also help cut down the amount of hairs dropping inside your house, although terriers in general, and wire-haired dogs in particular do not shed as much hair as soft coated dogs. You could also help by wiping him over with a moist cloth from time to time in order to pick up any dust on his coat.
A Welsh terrier is very energetic and very curious, so it is prudent to keep your dog in a yard that has been fenced off. However, the fence needs to be reasonably high, because the Welsh terrier has an excellent capacity to jump due to its long legs.
The Welsh terrier is Britain’s oldest breed of dog, but it is now under pressure. The British kennel club registers only 300 Welsh terrier puppies a year, whereas it registers tens of thousands of puppies of other, more popular, breeds. The Welsh terrier is a strong-willed animal, so it does need a strong-willed and patient owner.
However. if you want a Welsh terrier and you persevere with it, you will never look back. They have a lot to give and, as with so many things in life, you only get out what you are willing to put in.

Car Rental by

Every year, there are many Canadians who purchase used cars from the United States. The reasons Canadians buy a used car from the US can include: they found a car at a cheaper price, they located a specialty car that cannot be found in Canada, or they are buying a used car from a private seller. If you are planning to buy a used car from the US and bring it to Canada, it is important to understand what the process involves so you do not get held up at the border crossing.
Used cars that are at least 15 years old are allowed to be imported from the U.S. without having to be checked to see if they meet Canada’s emission and safety standards. The age of the vehicle is determined from the month the vehicle was built. Transport Canada’s Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) program is responsible for making sure all imported vehicles meet Canada’s safety standards. Used cars, such as used Hondas that are imported from the US are normally carried by a flat bed truck or driven across the border. Once you have purchased the car, you have to go to that particular state’s Department of Motor Vehicle office to acquire that state’s title. On the state’s motor vehicle department website, you will find the information on how to get temporary registration for the car. Remember, before you can travel with the vehicle, you will need to provide proof of insurance because it is illegal to drive in the US without auto insurance.
To be permitted entry into Canada with a used car, you will need the copy of the vehicle’s foreign registration document. This document provides information about the county of export and the age of the vehicle. You should also have a bill of sale that details information about the vehicle such as the vehicle identification number, make, year, and model, the names and addresses of the seller and purchaser and how much you paid for the used car.
When arriving at the border, a customs official will enter the car’s data into the RIV program. There will be a registration fee of $182.00, except for Quebec, which is $197.00. If the car has to be brought up to Canadian standards, you will have 45 days to do so. You won’t be able to register and license the car in Canada until it is modified and inspected. When you have met all of the import criteria, customs will provide you with a Vehicle Import Form, which is given to your province’s licensing officials. Once the used car meets the standards and passes inspection, you can then get the car registered. As well, you will be responsible for such fees as provincial sales tax on the amount you paid for the vehicle and registration fees.
When buying a car from the US to bring to Canada, it is important to remember that you will not be able to secure leasing or a financing plan, or qualify for any rebates. When purchasing a used car from the US instead of Canada, you have to be aware of the extra fees associated with the import. As with any purchase, always do your research so you do not end up having your car denied access at the Canadian border.
Your car dealership offers a diverse selection of high-quality vehicles, including used cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans, and commercial cars. Choose your dream automobile from both new and honda dealership Toronto to satisfy your driving needs.

My oldest child (age 7) has asthma (pretty mild and well controlled) and my youngest (age 4) is allergic to kiwifruit (he knows not to go near it). My question is - is there a separate form that can be used for these types of medical issues as opposed to the one that a physician needs to sign? Both boys are aware of their "conditions", but obviously the staff at the club should be aware of them. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!

I booked my excursions last night, and now I am worried I over planned us. Here are my plans and my concerns. I will be on the 5 day keys cruise. My plans are:
day 1…no plans…and that scares me
day 2…PALO brunch at 10 am, then off to explore the Keys. We can not get off the ship till 12:30 and plan to hang out in FL until 6pm..we have 2nd seating. Can the keys be done in 5 hours? Will we be rushed getting back to the ship and dinner?
day 3….sea day. I have PALO dinner at 7pm, but still want to see a show. worried I will not be done in time for 2nd showing and do not want to be rushed. My last cruise sea day there was a 2pm showing?? I would also like to work in a martini tasting? And rainforest room? There is a 6:30 pm spot for PALO, should I change to make room for show?
day 4…Nassau, Atlantis tour 11:15-3:15. I guess we should eat before we leave? Is the tour really this long or are they including free time??
day 5…CC and Seahorse snorkel adventure 9:30 am-12:15. Ok, so I am thinking room service breakfast and rush off ship. Lunch will have to be cookies b/c adult beach closes 1st? Also, we only did the adult beach last cruise, would like to look around some…skip adult beach?
I know..alot of questions and i’m sure a search would find some answers, but what I really need is to bounce these plans off experienced cruisers, and my DH is no help. Thx!

My husband and I are going on a 3-night cruise in early April. I’m nervous about sea-sickness and my husband struggles with inner ear equilibrium issues. (He won’t ride upside down roller coasters because he feels like he’s still on one the rest of the day.)
We are trying to figure out what medication to try - and bring along on the trip. Which is better - Dramamine or Bonine? What are the side effects for each? (We both tend to have ‘bowel’ issues on vacation - and don’t want to make it worse.) Also, do you recommend trying it before the trip? How about taking it every night regardless of the motion of the ship?
Thank you so much!

Please excuse the length of this post. I am beyond ticked off and really need to vent.
Today I received an upsetting call from a DCL rep in response to an email I had sent. The rep was rude, condesending and unsympathetic. Backstory: my sweet DH in an effort to do something special and sweet booked a 3 night cruise on the Wonder for my bday. His plan was to tell me over Labor Day weekend that he was able to get a few days off and that he planned a trip to WDW as a surprise since DS has 3 days off that week. He had everything figured out. He was going to tell me he booked a non DVC resort so that I wouldn’t have been able to find out and that he made ADR’s. We were to have loaded up the car and driven overnight to Florida but instead of waking up at the world I would have woken up at the pier.
When my DH booked the cruise online he noted that we are celebrating a birthday and that he wanted all communication to be by email. He provided his work email. Nowhere on the site does it say that any materials or a hard copy conformation would be mailed to the address listed. We received a hard copy confirm which I opened because I thought it was a soliciation for the cruise line. We’ve also received several "get excited" mailings.
I emailed DCL to express my frustration in my suprise being ruined along with my husband’s instructions regarding communication not being honored. The rep said it was totally my husband’s fault. He stated that my DH should have known to call and advise them that the reservation was to be a suprise or that he should have booked via phone. Nowhere on the website does it advise this. In fact booking on the website seems to be their prefered method of booking since they offer a special obc if you book online. Which of course is cheaper for them since they need to staff less people in the call centers.
He also stated that no one books a cruise as a suprise for a family member because passport information is needed. 1. Passport information is not needed to immediately book a cruise. It can be provided at a later date. 2. A passport is not needed to sail to the Bahamas. A certified birth certificate and a government issued id is all that is needed. All of which are readily available to my husband so there would be no need for him to ask me for thesee items.
His next excuse is that there is no way it could have remained a suprise because luggage tags need to be mailed. We are experienced cruisers. Never have we received luggage tags more than 2 to 3 weeks in advance. At which time my DH would have intercepted the mail or called to have them sent to an alternate address.
The rep then asked why my husband did not book the reservation using an alternate address. This is impossible since Homeland Security requires you provide your permenant legal address at the time of booking. PO Boxes and work addresses are not acceptable.
The rep had many excuses as to why this was my husband’s fault and in no way whatsoever was Disney at fault in the slightest way. I know this is cliched but I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my DVC. And thousands of dollars on park passes, hard ticket events, food and other disney junk. I travel to disney 2 to 3 times per year. I am unable to cancel this years reservations because I would lose those points and we do not have the extra money to plan a different anniversary trip and my trip in December is an extended family trip that has been planned for 2 years, My park passes will last my remaining 2 trips. My DVC contract is pretty stripped at this point but saleable. My disney stock shares can easily be sold. I know the revenue from one family means nothing and is easily set off by the revenue of others.
The rep insinuated several times that I was looking for monetary compensation. At no point in my emails or coversation to I say that I wanted or expected compensation. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can escalate this issue. I asked for the phone representative’s manager. He said he had no manager (yeah right, that’s why you are answering phones in a call center) and that the matter ended with him.
Thank you again for listening to my rant.

Ok, my dd’s convinced me to go on a 4 night DREAM cruise April 2011. We did a 3 day this past November on the Wonder. We are from Ohio and will fly in a few days before hand. We will be there 10 days before Easter, so I was thinking possibly going to Universal and staying at Hard Rock Hotel(getting the Front of the line pass), arrive on Thursday, stay Thurs/Friday night…. head to Cape Canaveral on Sat night for Cruise on Sunday. It will be myself(mom) and two girls, who will be 11 and 9 at the time. They are starting to like rides, but not huge riders yet. Other option is to do a Back to Back Dream cruise. :confused3 Won’t try going to WDW as we are so used to going in November and I think the spring crowds lines will make us crazy. Will likely go back to our usual November WDW cruise in Nov 2011. So… what do you think we should do???? :confused3

Can someone explain the catagories and decks. We are planning a trip but my parents say they want to be a cat 9 and they don’t want to be on a low deck but when I price it out it looks like the cat 9 is on the 2nd deck and that would seem low, am I wrong?

We are considering a Med. cruise in May for our family of five with two cat 12 gty cabins and I have a few questions. When will the guaranteed rooms be assigned or have they already started assigning them? I know we have no guarantee of the cabins being near each other, but based on your experience, what do you think the chances are that we will be close. Also, what about upgrades?
Thanks,
Alice
